The Requirements For Blessing

Psalm 1

Blessing (V.1-3)  God our Father has the best in store for His children, He enjoys blessing His children, but you must be “BLESSABLE”. Meaning this, you must apply discernment (v.1). Avoiding steps that lead you out of God’s will. Considering sin (walking) contemplating sin (standing) being comfortable in Sin (sitting) in other words.

Watch That first step!

Blessing involves DELIGHT (V.2). The Word guides your steps (Psalm 119:1-5), (Psalm 37:23) and rejoices your heart (Jeremiah 15:16). Meditation is to your inner person what digestion is to your body.  You make the word a part of your life as you grow.

Blessing involves DEPENDENCE (V.3). Your spiritual roots go deep into the resources of God’s grace and you bear fruit because His life is at work in you (Galatians 5:22-23).

“Antidote to Stress”

Matthew 11:28-30 ~ Matthew 6:34

In today’s climate there are so many things that can draw our minds away from the Word of God, violence in the streets, mounting acts of Police brutality, terrorist acts of around the world! For our mature citizens, our church members it’s mounting health issues; will I be able to maintain? What about this, what about my financial situation, etc. Young people are uncertain about their future with the changing of the President, so many things.

But we must be aware and take confidence in the Word of God. Matthew 11:28-30 and Matthew 6:34 these are the words of JESUS himself speaking to the Saints of yesterday and today. What a powerful statement of relief if you are worried,  uncertain about the Future, Family, Finance, Health Issues whatever it may be.

JESUS said “COME UNTO ME” with your issues and I Will give you relief,  (REST UNTO YOUR SOUL).

The apostle Paul said to his friends the Philippians Church which also applies to you and me. In Philippians 4:6, which is another assurance of God’s care for you.  God is bigger than any issue that will come into our lives.  He is the only one who knows the future and what the future holds for you.  Trust Him, He will not disappoint you.
