“Our Helper and Companion”
John 14:16, Hebrews 13:5
WHO IS THE HELPER and COMPANION JESUS PROMISED TO SEND?
JESUS described him as “Another Helper” meaning JESUS was going to send them ONE of the Same Kind. The helper was going to be like JESUS in character.
The trinity is composed of three distinct personalities. GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. God the father, is creator and ruler of all things.
JESUS is Our Savior and Lord, the Holy Spirit is Our helper, comforter, and guide, together they make up the GODHEAD, ONE DIVINE PERSON in THREE Distinct Persons.
WHEN AND WHY DID THE HOLY SPIRIT COME INTO OUR LIVES?
The Spirit was present in Our lives even before we Were Saved. JESUS Said no one comes unto the Father Unless the Spirit draws him. He convicts us of Sin revealed the truth of Scripture, and gave us faith to believe. At the moment of salvation, we were born of his Spirit and Sealed into the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)
Because he is Our Constant companion and helper, as believers we are never alone.
WHY DID THE FATHER SEND THE HOLY SPIRIT?
The holy spirit enables us to do the work the father called us to do. Work We cannot do of Our Own Strength. The Holy Spirit empowers to produce Such things as the bible calls the Fruit of The Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
ENABLE US TO BECOME THE PEOPLE GOS WANTS US TO BE.
The father wants Us to live godly lives, but none of Us are able for the task. That’s why he gave Us his Spirit. We can become discouraged, disappointed, when we try to live and carry the responsibility of trying to be better people. If we submit to the Spirit obey his voice we can fulfill God’s purpose for Our lives.
