“Serving One Another”

I Corinthians 12:12-25

Coming into A New Year it will do us all well to do the following:

Believers have two main responsibilities to love God and to love people (Matthew 22:37-40).

This is often done by serving, where and how we serve is based upon our unique talents, skills and calling, but the one place where we all are expected to give of Ourselves is the local church. When you trusted JESUS CHRIST as savior, the Lord baptized you by the Holy Spirit into His church the body of believers living all over the globe but United by Faith in JESUS CHRIST. You then chose, according to the will of God, to become part of this body. God placed you here because he knows that you are needed (I Corinthian 12:18). You are important to this body.

The Church is more than a community. It’s an interdependent body with individual members created by God to function in communion with One another. We Christians, like the World at large, are a diverse group of people, and we have to work hard for unity. But our differences are actually works for us, each person uniquely contributes to God’s purpose, a church truly operates as a unit, with all it’s varied gifts, talents, personalities, and intellects focused towards Kingdom goals, must be precious in the Lord’s sight. Christianity is not a spectator religion. We all have Jobs to do in God’s kingdom. The body of Christ functions best when all members resolve to serve God and each other to the best of their abilities (I Corinthians 12:25).

What are you doing for your Church?

“When We Don’t Understand Why”

Isaiah 55:8-9           Romans 8:28

When you don’t understand why something has happened, remember these basic truths.

First thing is this: the Lord is Omni-Science.  He’s all knowing, He’s unlimited in His knowledge. Ours on the other hand, is very limited, which Sometimes lead us to a wrong attitude, toward God and the circumstance. But the Lord understands every facet of the difficulty and knows why it has happened and what His purpose is.

Second, we must remember that the Lord is full of Love, righteousness, mercy, goodness and kindness. Whatever He’s allowed in Our lives is motivated by these qualities.

Third, we need to recognize that God’s thoughts and ways are higher than Ours.  There are some things we will never understand in this life, because they are beyond human understanding.

Fourth, we should rely on (Lamentations 3:22-23). God’s Love and Mercy is new every morning and will never run out. Whenever you experience pain, distress, or disappointment, how do you respond? Do you see it as God’s way of getting your attention?

Is God using this to remind you to be totally dependent upon Him? Could this be a Satanic Attack? Is God testing Your Faith? Ponder these thoughts and ask God for guidance.
