Using Numbers Seventeen as a back-drop for today’s Words to you. God had disciplined the people because of their murmuring and rebelling, but the problem was not yet solved. One of God’s people besetting sins was murmuring
(1 Corinthians 10:10).
A sin we must avoid today (Philippians 2:14). The Word of God warns Us of Not to complain, therefore Complaining is a Sin. When we complain we give evidence of Not trusting God (Proverbs 3:5). If we were truly “Giving thanks always for all things” (Ephesians 5:20), we would Not be complaining.
The best way to Overcome a Complaining Spirit is to accept God’s will by Faith and thank Him for His Goodness. Count His blessings name them One by One. When we lay hold of Faith, Faith is power it can accomplish the impossible, and Romans 8:28 is still there for Us to claim.

The reading of Exodus Chapter 19 tells us we are a Special People, at the Red Sea, God separated His people from their Old Life, at Sinai He brought them into a new life, a covenant relationship with Himself.
It was like a wedding ceremony, with God as the husband and Israel as the wife. Whenever the nation turned from God to idols, God accused them of committing adultery (Isaiah 1:21, Jeremiah 3:1-5). Believers today Must also beware of this Sin (James 4:4).
The Church is a nation of Kings and Priest (1 Peter 2:9). We are A Sanctified people, because we belong to God, we must be separated from Sin (VV. 10, 14, 22).
God’s people are set apart from the world and unto the Lord. We are set apart to be Sanctified means to be Set apart for God’s exclusive use and pleasure. Christians are set apart by the death of Christ (Hebrews 10:10), the indwelling Spirit (Romans 15:16) and the word of God (John 17:17, Ephesians 5:26).
